Buying

At Better Off Duds we typically hunt our own vintage stock for the shop.  One of the reasons that we started the storefront is because the thrill of the hunt is irresistable for us!  And there's a LOT of clothing in this world - we are globally drowning in textiles with no end in sight.  We do sometimes buy from customers, but we are INCREDIBLY picky in terms of condition, seasonability, and decade.  If you have items that you'd like us to consider, please send us pictures via email or social media.  If we are interested in purchasing your pieces we will set up an appointment time with you, and we generally pay around 30% of our selling price to buy outright.  Please understand that we reserve the right to say no at any time, and that we get dozens of inquires a week about buying.  We do not do any consignment unless it's for higher priced pieces like fur coats, and typically look for pieces that are incredibly unique and not very fussy.  We love the weird, the wild, the wonderful (and the machine washable).
